Shashank Mani

Shashank Mani is the elected Member of Parliament from Deoria Constituency, Uttar Pradesh. With a B.Tech from IIT Delhi and an MBA from IMD Lausanne, Shashank has over 18 years of experience in international business, including roles at Schlumberger, Accenture, and as the CEO of a BPO company he founded. He has also contributed to India's economic policy discussions, serving on the $5 Trillion Committee of the Ministry of Commerce. He is the founder of Jagriti Yatra, a national movement aimed at promoting youth-led entrepreneurship, and the Jagriti Enterprise Centre – Purvanchal (JECP), which fosters sustainable business practices in eastern Uttar Pradesh. He is the author of three books: Middle of Diamond India: National Renaissance through Participation and Enterprise, outlining a vision for India’s rising districts through enterprise; India: A Journey Through a Healing Civilisation, exploring India’s cultural heritage and development potential; and Bharat Ek Swarnim Yatra, reflecting on India’s journey and growth prospects.

Piyush Doshi

Piyush currently serves as Operating Partner at The Convergence Foundation and the Foundation for Economic Development, driving strategic initiatives and scaling social impact. Before crossing over to the social sector, Piyush spent 25 years in management consulting, executive search, and private equity. He held leadership roles at Faering Capital and BookMyForex, and worked with Spencer Stuart, Booz & Co., and Boston Consulting Group. He has worked on strategy and operations issues across auto, steel, chemicals, and other industrial sectors. He has experience leading assignments in multiple geographies – India, South East Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North America. Piyush holds an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad and an engineering degree from Delhi College of Engineering.

Arindam Bhattacharya

Dr. Arindam Bhattacharya is a Senior Advisor at Boston Consulting Group and Emeritus Partner. He led BCG’s India operations and co-founded the BCG Henderson Institute. His research focuses on globalization’s impact on businesses and societies. He has authored key publications, including Globality and Beyond Great, and spoken at forums like TED. Arindam serves on the boards of Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Holdings, Bajaj Housing Finance, InfoEdge, and Gaja Capital. He also chairs the advisory board of the Indian School of Development Management and is an Honorary Industrial Fellow at the University of Warwick.

Kaushik Banerjee

Kaushik Banerjee is an Independent Consultant advising institutional investors and hedge funds on market strategy, asset allocation, and risk management. He was formerly Global Head of Macro Research at BNP Paribas and held senior roles at Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank, specializing in macro strategy, hedge fund coverage, and global financial markets.

Kaushik has built high-performing teams and deep client relationships across Europe, the US, and Asia. His work focuses on delivering actionable insights that drive investment decisions and long-term value creation.

Ashutosh Kumar

Ashutosh Kumar is a social entrepreneur with 16+ years of experience building ecosystems across India. He co-founded Jagriti Yatra, a 15-day train journey empowering young entrepreneurs, recognized by the President of India and replicated globally. Ashutosh is a fellow of The Asia Foundation and Asia Society, and received the Young Achiever Alumni Award from IIT Kharagpur. He now co-leads Jagriti Enterprise Centre – Purvanchal and is the author of Two Point Two.

Gopal Jain

Gopal Jain is the Managing Director and CEO of Gaja Capital, which he co-founded in 1999. With over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, he leads the company’s strategy and operations. Gopal holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Delhi and is a member of the SEBI Alternative Investment Policy Advisory Committee and the Indian Venture and Alternate Capital Association Executive Committee. He also leads Gaja Gives, Gaja Capital’s CSR initiative, supporting social enterprises and NGOs in education, sports, and entrepreneurship.

Rahul Dhir is a global business leader and experienced CEO with a track record of building, scaling, and transforming industrial enterprises. Over nearly two decades as CEO, he has led companies through growth, restructuring, strategic resets, M&A, and cultural transformation, with deep expertise in value creation, innovation, governance, and stakeholder engagement. At Tullow plc, he delivered a successful turnaround of a FTSE-listed company, driving financial transformation, operational excellence, and a strong sustainability agenda. He previously founded and built Delonex Energy, an Africa-focused energy company backed by Warburg Pincus and the IFC, recognized for low-cost operations and leading social and environmental performance. Earlier, as founding CEO of Cairn India, he oversaw its $2 billion IPO and $13 billion value realization, making it India’s largest private-sector oil producer. With a foundation in finance from Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch, Rahul now focuses on scaling ambitious companies across energy, climate tech, infrastructure, and industrial innovation. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School.

Deepak Raj

Deepak Raj is the founder and managing director of Raj Associates, a New Jersey-based private investment firm, and currently serves as Chairman of Pratham USA. A CFA charterholder, he and his wife Neera also founded the Raj Center on Indian Economic Policies at Columbia University. With 24 years at Merrill Lynch, he led global equity research, managing a team of 700 investment professionals worldwide. Deepak holds a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur and an MBA from Northeastern University.

Ajay Khanna

Ajay Khanna is a leader with over 45 years of experience in strategy, public policy, advocacy, and social impact. He is co-founder of the Public Affairs Forum of India (PAFI) and serves as Group Strategic Advisor and Ombudsperson at Jubilant Bhartia Group. Ajay has held advisory and board roles with organizations including the Indian School of Public Policy, Urban Land Institute India, Teamwork Arts, and Global Catalyst 2030. He is a former founding CEO of India Brand Equity Foundation and a long-standing participant in the World Economic Forum. He holds degrees in Law and Commerce from the University of Delhi.

Hemang Jani

Hemang Jani currently serves as the Senior Advisor to the Executive Director for Bangladesh, Bhutan, India and Sri Lanka at the World Bank. He has significantly contributed to improving public service delivery using technology, designing national-level governance and innovation frameworks, and enabling private sector development at the state, national, and international levels. As Secretary, Capacity Building Commission, Hemang designed India's National Civil Service Capacity Building framework, aimed to cover 3 million civil servants of India. During his tenure as an Officer on Special Duty (Knowledge and Innovation) in the Prime Minister’s office, Government of India, Hemang designed and nurtured the Atal Innovation Mission, a nationwide innovation agency fostering innovation and entrepreneurship eco-system in India. He is a board member of the Climate Investment Fund, Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), Karmayogi Bharat Corporation (an SPV under Mission Karmayogi), and Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI).

Dr. Ashwin Naik is an award-winning entrepreneur and author, specializing in healthcare innovation, social impact, and workplace wellbeing. He has founded organizations including Manah Wellness, Vaatsalya, Seraniti, and We Scale Impact. A trained physician, he began his career at Celera Genomics in the U.S. and holds degrees from Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences and the University of Houston. He has authored three books and has been recognized as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum, Senior Ashoka Fellow, and one of India’s inspiring entrepreneurs.

Ayush Chauhan leads Quicksand, a multidisciplinary design and innovation consultancy that applies design, technology, and behavioral science to advance social development. Ayush is also co-founder of UnBox, Delhi’s first interdisciplinary festival, and serves on the board of the William J. Clinton Foundation in India.

Rajiv Kucchal

Rajiv has more than 23 years of management experience in IT, BPO, and ITeS industries. He has worked in venture capital, consulting and social impact. Rajiv is a General Partner at Exfinity Partners, Independent Director at Expleo Solutions, and Founder of Dhwani foundation. He worked for 16 years at Infosys Ltd., and served as its Assistant Vice President and Practice Head of Communication and Product Services. He was instrumental in defining Offshore Development Center (OSDC) as an outsourcing concept. Since 2008, he has been working as an investor-mentor with many start-ups. Rajiv received Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi.

Sanjeev Bhikchandani

Sanjeev Bikhchandani is the founder of Info Edge India Ltd., which owns Naukri.com, 99acres.com, Jeevansathi.com, and Shiksha.com, and has invested in startups like Zomato and Policybazaar. An alumnus of St. Stephen’s College and IIM Ahmedabad, he transformed Naukri.com into India’s leading internet company. He actively supports entrepreneurship through TiE, NASSCOM, and CIIE, and is a founding trustee of Ashoka University. Sanjeev has received multiple accolades, including Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year and the Lifetime Achievement Award in IT.

Deep Karla

Deep Kalra founded MakeMyTrip in 2000, transforming it into India’s largest online travel and e-commerce company. With prior experience at GE Capital, AMF Bowling, and ABN AMRO Bank, he is a key figure in India’s travel and internet sectors. Deep serves on the Executive Council of NASSCOM, chairs the NASSCOM Internet Working Group, and is a board member of TiE New Delhi and IndiaMart.com. He is also a founding member of “I am Gurgaon,” an NGO improving urban life. Deep holds a Bachelor’s in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, and an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad.

Rajiv Lall

Dr. Rajiv B. Lall is an economist, banker, and policy thinker with four decades of experience across infrastructure finance, impact investing, and macro-economic policy. Currently he co-leads Artha Global, focusing on sustainable and inclusive development. He was the Founder CEO of IDFC Bank and previously led IDFC Ltd. as MD & Executive Chairman. He has held senior roles at Warburg Pincus, Morgan Stanley, the World Bank, and the Asian Development Bank. He is Co-Founder of Mondiale Impact and a Professorial Research Fellow at Singapore Management University, holding degrees from Oxford University and Columbia University.

Sashi Sairaman

Sashi Sairaman is an entrepreneur-turned-operator with over 20 years of experience building and scaling ventures across manufacturing, digital transformation, grassroots skilling, and social impact. She currently serves as Project Director for MIDAS (Middle India Development and Advancement Strategy) at The Convergence Foundation, driving structural change to accelerate economic mobility in India’s underserved districts. Sashi has mentored Abhyaz, a social enterprise providing digital internships and enhancing youth employability across 200+ towns. Her work focuses on combining strategy, data, and empathy to enable sustainable social impact.

Antara Khaitan

Senior Project Manager, Project Management Unit, Amrit Prayas Secretariat

Antara Khaitan is a Public Policy professional serving as Policy and Research Manager in the office of MP Shashank Mani, since October 2024. She leads strategic initiatives in economic development, policy formulation, and research providing actionable insights for decision-making. Before this, Antara worked in management consulting with Deloitte and PwC India, specializing in government strategy, transformation, and public sector advisory. She worked with various Central Government Organizations in India. With the Capacity Building Commission she contributed to the finalisation and implementation of the National Standards for Civil Service Training Institutions (NSCSTI), and managed the execution of two major Prime Minister events under Mission Karmayogi for the Commission. Her early research experience spans roles at IPE Global, CEEW, KPMG India, and Times Group, where she contributed to socio-economic programs, trade and investment analysis, and CSR initiatives focused on education and women’s empowerment. She holds an MSc. in Economics from University College London, and BA (Honours) Economics from Delhi University.

Abhay Choudhary

Abhay is a Program Manager with The Convergence Foundation, working on Amrit Prayas in Deoria. He contributes to district-level development across agriculture, tourism, education, and healthcare. Across the domains he assists with entrepreneurship and strategic investment promotion, among other implementation initiatives. An MBA from ISB, where he was elected Director of the Graduate Student Board, and an Economics graduate from DTU, Abhay brings prior experience in consulting and founder’s office roles. Outside work, he is a national-level rifle shooter with multiple medals at state and national championships.

Shubhangi Gokhroo

Shubhangi Gokhroo is a development economist and policy professional with extensive experience in research, program management, and data-driven policy analysis. She currently serves as Program Manager at The Convergence Foundation and previously worked as an Economist and ODI Fellow with the Ministry of Education, Ethiopia. Shubhangi has contributed as a Consultant at the World Bank, analyzing education poverty and designing policy recommendations across South Asia, and has conducted rigorous research at the Center for Global Development, Yale Economic Growth Center, J-PAL, and Oxford Policy Management on issues spanning gender, financial inclusion, and education interventions. She holds a Master’s in International and Development Economics from Yale University and a BA in Economics from Lady Shri Ram College.

Shri B.V.R. Subrahmanyam, an IAS officer of 1987 batch (Chhattisgarh cadre), is the CEO of NITI Aayog since 25 February 2023. Over the last three decades he has served in key roles in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Jammu & Kashmir, along with a stint at The World Bank. He has been Secretary in the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Chief Secretary, Jammu & Kashmir, Principal Secretary, Government of Chhattisgarh, and has held positions in the Prime Minister’s Office.

Saurabh Garg

Dr. Saurabh Garg, IAS (Odisha, 1991), is the Secretary of the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), leading reforms in India’s statistical system at both central and state levels. With over 30 years of administrative experience, he has held senior roles in digital agriculture, digital identities, direct benefit transfers, infrastructure, FDI policies, and urban development. Previously, he served as Secretary of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, CEO of UIDAI, Joint Secretary in the Departments of Economic Affairs and Expenditure, and Advisor to the Executive Director at the World Bank. He holds a B.Tech from IIT Delhi, an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, and a Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University.

Pawan Goenka

Dr. Pawan Goenka is currently the Chairperson of the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe) under the Department of Space. He worked at General Motors R&D Centre, Detroit, for 14 years, and spent 28 years at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., where he led the development of the Scorpio SUV and strengthened the company’s R&D and product portfolio. He retired as MD & CEO of Mahindra & Mahindra in 2021. Dr. Goenka currently chairs the Board of Governors of IIT Madras and leads the SCALE initiative under India’s Ministry of Commerce & Industry. He holds a B.Tech from IIT Kanpur, a Ph.D. from Cornell University, and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School

Arvind Kumar

Arvind Kumar is a retired IAS officer of the 1988 batch (Uttar Pradesh cadre) and currently serves as Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (UPERC), a role he assumed in July 2023. Before this, he was Advisor on Industries to the Chief Minister after retiring as Infrastructure & Industrial Development Commissioner. During his career, he has held several senior roles including Additional Chief Secretary of the Power Department, Principal Secretary of Home, Vigilance & Prisons, Medical Health & Family Welfare, and Revenue. He also served as Chairman of Uttar Pradesh’s energy corporations, where he contributed to reforms in the state’s power sector. As Infrastructure & Industrial Development Commissioner, Kumar played a leading role in organizing the Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit (GIS-2023). He was instrumental in preparing policy frameworks, engaging with industry leaders, and ensuring follow-up on investment proposals, which helped attract significant domestic and global investment.

Alok Kumar

Alok Kumar is a UP cadre IAS officer (retired) with over 35 years of experience in public policy and economic development. He served as Secretary, Ministry of Power, overseeing India’s vast power system and sector reforms, and chaired the G20 Energy Transitions Working Group. Alok has also been CEO of Power Corporation of UP for two and half years. He has held various significant and critical administrative positions in a wide spectrum of sectors, including Revenue, Transport, Power, Housing, Urban Planning, and Handicrafts. He holds a B.E. from IIT Roorkee and an MBA in Finance.

Rajive Kumar

Mr. Rajive Kumar, a 1981batch Indian Administrative Service officer, retired as Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh in 2018 after a distinguished four-decade career with the Government of India and the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Following his retirement, he served as the first Chairperson of the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority. He is currently a non-executive, Independent Director at JSW Infrastructure Limited for the 2025–28 term. During his career, Mr. Kumar held several senior positions at the national level, including Secretary, Ministry of Shipping, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, and Joint Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance. His expertise covers industrial development and financing, infrastructure development and regulation, and human resource development.Internationally, he represented India as a member of the Board of Governors, World Maritime University (Sweden), and as an expert on the Committee on Administrative and Financial Matters at the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), The Hague. Mr. Kumar holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Harvard University, USA, and a Master of Science (MSc) in Physics from Lucknow University.

Alok Kumar

Alok Kumar is an experienced IAS officer serving as Principal Secretary of the Planning and Programme Implementation Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh. His professional interests include health, nutrition, infrastructure, and economic development. A 1998 batch IAS officer, he has previously served as Executive Director of the State Innovations in Family Planning Services Project Agency (SIFPSA), Mission Director of the National Health Mission in UP, and Secretary, Medical Health & Family Welfare. He has also held the post of Project Director for the UP AIDS Control Society, contributing significantly to health sector reforms and program implementation in the state. He also served as Secretary to Hon'ble Chief Minister U.P from 2019 to 2021. He is an alumnus of IIT Kanpur and King’s College London.

Selva Kumari

Selva Kumari J. is a 2006 batch IAS officer serving as Secretary of the Planning Department and Director General of Uttar Pradesh Development Systems (UPDES). She leads strategic planning, policy formulation, and digital transformation initiatives in Uttar Pradesh. With a background in architecture and a strong focus on digital governance, she has played a pivotal role in promoting digital innovation, women entrepreneurship, and employment generation schemes such as PMEGP and CMYES. Prior to this posting she was Divisional Commissioner Meerut.

Vijay Kiran Anand

Vijay Kiran Anand is a 2009 batch IAS officer and Chartered Accountant, currently serving as CEO of Invest UP and Secretary of the Infrastructure and Industrial Development Department, Uttar Pradesh. He has played a key role in organizing large-scale events like the 2019 Kumbh Mela and the upcoming Maha Kumbh 2025. Anand’s focus includes driving investment through the Global Investors Summit and addressing institutional reforms. His leadership in improving public service delivery earned him the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration in 2020.

Divya Mittal

Divya Mittal is a 2013 batch IAS officer currently serving as District Magistrate of Deoria, Uttar Pradesh. Over her career, she has held several key positions including Sub-Divisional Magistrate at Sidhauli, Sitapur and later at Meerut, Assistant Secretary at NITI Aayog, Chief Development Officer of Gonda, Joint Managing Director of UP State Industrial Development Authority in Kanpur, and Vice Chairperson of Bareilly Development Authority. She also served as District Magistrate & Collector of Sant Kabir Nagar and subsequently Mirzapur before her current posting in Deoria. She is a graduate of IIT Delhi and IIM Bangalore.

Mahendra Singh

Mahendra Singh Tanwar is a 2015 batch IAS officer currently serving as District Magistrate of Kushinagar. Since assuming office in April 2025, he has focused on citizen-centric governance, transparency, and accountability, including initiatives to enforce medical compliance in district hospitals and strengthen law and order.
